More sights as we walk through the narrow, characteristic streets of Venice, Italy. It is just as colorful as I remember from all those years ago, and every narrow alley and zigzagging side street made me feel like I was on the set of some renaissance film. All I needed was a huge adorned…

After freezing in Como, we made our way to Milan, one of the fashion capitals of the world. Big whoop. Milan was such a letdown. I had such high high hopes for this artistic city, being an artist myself, but the overall impression I had was that Milano was so bland, austere and…

After the Gothic Duomo, another staple we visited in Milan was the famous Galleria, which is this domed/glass-ceiling covered shopping mecca, complete with period cafes and the expected souvenir stand in the corner.

Me and my sister doing more shadow shots (which we’ve done quite a bit on this trip)
A lovely cafe-lined square

Below, can you spot the David replica?

We started one of the mornings by visiting the leather and gold factory in the center of Florence. It was the typical (or at least from my memory of this) demonstration and sales talk, but mostly what I was really interested in was getting my hands on goldleaf, which I’d always wanted to use…
